Love this place! It's our favorite breakfast spot and our favorite BBQ place as well.

Good prices, pretty good BBQ, attentive servers. Hubby got dry rub ribs. Not as good as Memphis but Tasty. Western beans side is very good but is a lil' too spivey for me. His side of jalapeño cheese bread was a little dried out. I got special extra large sandwich of beef brisket chopped (kinda skimpy on the BBQ on this big bun. (Which was kinda dried out on outside, moist inside). With side of twice baked potatoes and cheese "casserole"(more like regular home fries). All 3 kinds of Sauces were good but all a little too sweet. Super sweet like that is great ON the grill for caramelization just a little too sweet to serve on the table. I must confess this place has lousy water. Tastes more like dishwater. I had to switch to a soft drink.

I am from this area and I stumbled across Texas Stockyards a few weeks ago. Been back 3 times since then. The pulled pork and chopped brisket is awesome. I love that they serve the tea in a mason jar. Everything tastes better in a mason jar!!

This place is one of my favorite places for BBQ. Don't let the decor fool you, they might look kind of empty inside but anyone who is choosing Oakwood Smokehouse instead is missing out. Their dry rub ribs were fall off the bone delicious (and not too spicy) and their onion rings, fries and green beans were also really good. I urge you to ask for the chipotle sauce with the onion rings. It is soooo good. The waitress Theresa, offered it to us and it was a perfect compliment to their giant onion rings. Their sauces are interesting too. I liked to mix the mustard and the original bbq and the service was fantastic. The food came out fast and Theresa was friendly and helpful. Everything was fantastic. Absolutely no complaints.

If you go at the wrong time, the meat is dried or cold. Also, they have taken to reducing the amount of meat they put on your plate. The hours they post are not the hours they are open. Sadly, this restaurant is going to the dogs quickly.

We were lucky enough to visit the Texas Stockyards for the first time this week and will certainly return. BRISKET was delicious!! .Maria, our server, and Vinnie, the manager, were both friendly and we received excellent service from each of them, Teamwork, they helped one another seamlessly. We had a lunch special....a brisket sandwich on a roll and a side of potato salad $7.99, Can't beat that. We live over 30 miles away, and that's probably a good thing. We would definitely want to have lunch there everyday. Great experience from start to finish.

I, like most, enjoy a restaurant for the whole package. The package consists of all the visible or tangible experiences. However, sometimes you just move past the not as pretty exterior just to get to the food! Decor- it is pretty bright. Notably. The decor isn't anything special. Prices: reasonable. Service: nothing to write home about. Food: delish. My fiancé and I decided to try out the Texas Stockyard because we've never been and I heard via YELP that the BBQ may be something to enjoy. The kids working here are just that: kids. They don't know how to deliver great service and they don't. You don't really expect five star service in a BBQ establishment but I can tell you if they stepped up, that would get folks talking. I ordered 2 meat and 2 sides. I got the ribs, per the waiter's suggestion and pulled pork. For sides I ordered the cucumber salad based on the yelp reviews, and the baked potato. My fiancé got the Cobb salad with pulled pork and a soup. The food servers forgot my potato and his soup. They also forgot his mustard sauce. And placed my BBQ sauce on his plate. We didn't get the soup til we were leaving so I cannot tell you how it was. It hasn't been eaten. My potato was awesome. I love that it came out with the trimmings. Yum. The pulled pork with original sauce was perfection. The ribs, sweet & wet, were tasty. All smoky. Great flavor. The cucumber salad was good. Very wet. The Cobb salad was okay but you don't expect an awesome salad at a BBQ place. So- I rate this place a four. The food was yum enough that I want to go back and try the steaks. Check it out. Wear shades.

This location has replaced 110th St Grille Soft Opening - Today is their 4th day open at this location. Pretty busy when we arrived. 2 wait staff working, trying to keep up. One a little speedier than other, but this is only their 4th day. Some new décor and paint, shortened bar area and added a waiting area (bench), Good selection on menu same as Texas Stockyard in Leesburg. Printed Lunch specials inside of menu. Reasonably Priced. Onion rings were great - Seasoned curly fries could have used more seasoning and cooked more crispy. Had a burger- next time I need to tell them to toast bun as it fell completely apart and my burger was quite dry. Great ribs! Big smoker out front in the parking lot too.

I grew up eating Texas BBQ in some old places like Luther's, Brisket House (original one Downtown Houston) as well as The Salt Lick, Rudy's, and Franklin's. Texas Stockyards follows the traditions as those aforementioned places in that it cooks up some good sliced brisket, (jalapeño) sausage, and ribs. As an aside, pulled pork isn't on the radar in Texas as brisket is king; we did not order pulled pork here. The smoked brisket at Stockyard's is tender but not fatty which is not always easy to pull off. It comes without sauce (as all sliced brisket should be free of being soaked in sauce) and you have the option of sweet or spicy sauces. The jalapeño sausage was also very good in that it wasn't very fatty. The ribs were also very nice and tender. The sides offered are the typical ones you'd find in a Texas BBQ restaurant. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to prepare the meats to carry a more intense wood smoke flavor. With that said, if you need a Texas BBQ fix this far away from the Lone Star State, Texas Stockyards will do the trick.

Took the wife tonight, she of the silver spoon, for her first visit. She had the sweet wet ribs and I had the sliced brisket. Both had original BBQ sauce. The smokey flavor is deep and the sauce is beautiful. When my wife likes it everything is good. We shared a blackbeyy cobbler(you have to) It was warmed and slathered with whipped cream(special request). What a treat.

We were heading to Oakwood for dinner when we drove by the Stockyard.....didn't think much of it until Oakwood had a 45 minute wait so we got back in the car and came here. My father was extremely skeptical and I don't really know how he truly felt about his dinner, but I thought it was good. The sides weren't anything great and we tried a lot of them. They were having some special with 2 meats and 4 sides for $19.99 (I think) We did pork and ribs and both were really moist and flavorful. For sides we did cucumber salad (I LOVED IT!!!), cloe slaw which was good, boring and bland mac and cheese and 1 other thing I can't remember. Service was great and she was extremely knowledgeable about the food. I would definitely go back again but will need to get over the decor, first!

My sister and I was visiting our parents in Fruitland Park, we took our parents to this place from a recommendation from Art who works for Village Airport Van. The food was good and reasonable. The atmosphere wasn't so hot, the lights were on full blast, so we asked the waitress to turn them down and after 3 times of asking she turned just our section down. My opinion it looked like a lack of good management.

Amazing bbq!! We had the pulled pork and chopped brisket with original bbq sauce. The sauce was so good! Not too sweet, not too spicy...homemade and addictive! The meet was smoked and tender. Perfect. We had chili beans, potato salad, coleslaw, dirty rice and cucumber salad as sides. All were so yummy. Potato salad, not too much mayo and dill pickles. Perfect. Beans had cumin, kind of spicy but perfect with the cool cucumber salad with buttermilk and yogurt?? Not sure but so good. All was served with a huge slice of soft, fluffy, homemade jalapeno cheddar bread. We are now new regulars. I have to try and save room next time for blackberry or peach cobbler. Can't wait!

I was not satisfied with this restaurant, even after trying it twice. The meat was extremely dry even adding the sauce on the side. On my second visit I ordered a loaded bake potato. I was given a moderately hot potato and a paper bag. Inside the bag were those tiny take out cups - one with cheese, one bacon, one butter, one sour cream. Seriously? I was eating in the restaurant and I got a paper bag with condiments? Also on both visits I was seated in an uncomfortable booth with ripped seats, even though the restaurant was 1/2 full and I could have been seated in several other places. I ordered a beer on tap and 1/2 of it was foam. I informed my server, and she just shrugged her shoulds. Considering Oakwood is right down the street, this place needs to step it up. I won't be going back.

Great turkey and you must save room for a huge brownie for desert.

My low rating is for cleanliness and staff. The food is pretty damn good. I went with two other people for lunch on a weekday. The building from the outside looks like a redone Wendy's or something. There was two people eating inside. It was seat-yourself service. We were going to sit at one of the tables and noticed that there was a bowl of uneaten BBQ beans on the table, so we took the table next to it. The server came over quickly and took our drink orders. She was pleasant. They served the drinks in a large mason jar and the iced tea was good. The menu was a little confusing and you had to look between the pages to get the jest of how to order. The menu had a fairly large selection of options and it told you if the foods were spicy or not, I like that. We ordered Ribs, Chicken, and Brisket. Side orders were Mac and Cheese, Twice baked potatoes casserole , and garlic bread and corn muffin. The food came pretty quick and found it to be just above room temperature. The chicken was great, the wet ribs were above average and the brisket was too fatty for my taste. The Side orders were really good. The corn muffins were as dry as sawdust. Oh yea, we ordered onion rings and let me tell you, they are Huge. They have a crunchy coating that tasted great. I wished they would have been hot, but still good. The sauce on the table was a sweet Kansas City Style. Not too spicy. With tip for three people was under $40, which is fair for these times. Now for the bad. The restaurant did not have a clean feeling. There was an empty sugar packet on the floor next to our table, food and small objects about the floor. The bowl of beans on the next table was never picked up and cleaned off while we were there. The lady's bathroom was out of soap. The server never came over to ask us if we needed anything. There were flies that kept landing on our food. When we were thru, we had to put paper towels over the plates to keep the flies off. When we got up to leave the server was standing near the door and did not engage us. We all said thank you and goodbye and she did not look up and in a bored voice said goodbye. The place gave me a feeling of " hope I don't get sick from this place". Sorry, don't think I'll be back.

I live in Kansas City Missouri and we came down in the Villages to visit. I became ill with double pneumonia and was put in the hospital for 18 days. Now I'm in rehab and since it is Memorial day and I'm from the Deep South I can't ever remember not having barbecue on memorial day. I went online and found the Texas restaurant . They were so kind worked it out to make it possible for me to have the most wonderful barbecue dinner I can ever remember. if you want to start with the ribs or with the brisket or the fried okra or The double baked potato in casserole form or the pecan pie it will not matter because your end result will be just like mine which was awesome . Thank you Texas barbecue God bless you and God bless our troops. Linda Copeland Higgins Memorial Day 2015

Enjoyed the haystack with the brisket....brisket was a little dry...I like mine with more fat and moisture. The fired pickles and cowboy egg rolls were a great start. Drinks are served in large mason jars. Their sauces are flavorful. I will be back to try the ribs...
